Negotiation: Defined as a bargaining process through which partners attempt to forge an agreement to resolve disputes, establish a business contract, purchase a new home, or conclude a peace treaty. Back and forth communication designed to reach an agreement between two or more parties with some interests that are shared and others that may conflict or simply be different. Negotiation is an intrinsic part of joint action, problem solving, and dispute resolution. It may be verbal, non-verbal, explicit, implicit, direct, or through mediation.
